Camp Staff 2008
We have started the hiring process for the 2008 summer. Brief job descriptions are available on the application. Please submit your application by February 15th to be eligible for the first round of hiring.
If you are interested in applying to be a Camp Chickami staff member, please fill out an application and submit it with a resume to the YMCA. (High School students do not need to submit a resume). Applications are available on the website. Once we have your completed appliaction we will contact you if we would like to set up an interview. All Staff (not including Junior Counselors) that we would like to consider returning for the summer of 2008 will be contacted at the beginning of Janaury to set up a meeting.

Team Building Facilitator
The role of the Team building Facilitator will be to safely instruct campers on our fixed low element challenge course as well as lead non-element based teambuilding games. High ropes experience is a plus.
A qualified applicant will:
- Have at least 3 months previous experience facilitating low elements
- Be comfortable facilitating on their own.
- Be versed in proper spotting techniques.
- Have a fully equipped "toolbox" of games and activites.
Junior Counselors
If you were an LIT at Camp Chickami last summer, will be 15 years old before June 15th, and will be entering 10th grade in the fall, you are old enough to apply for a junior counselor position at Camp Chickami. We will not be starting Junior Counselor Interviews until February.
Leaders-in-Training, Junior Leaders and Junior Counselors from Summer 2007 will be getting a letter in the mail before the end of January outlining the hiring process for 2008.
