Camp Frank A. Day - 2008 Residential Camp Employment Opportunities
Are you looking for a job that would be so much fun that you would not even want to call it work? Join the staff of the West Suburban YMCA at Camp Frank A. Day, a co-ed overnight camp in East Brookfield, MA that offers the perfect mix of land and water activities.
Currently, we are looking for caring, honest, respectful and responsible applicants for the following positions:
Junior Counselors will aid in supervising and effectively leading a group of campers in daily camp activities. Must be at least 17 years old.
Counselors will supervise and effectively lead a group of campers in daily camp activities. Must be at least 18 years old.
Waterfront Director/Waterfront Assistants will oversee all staff, campers, activities, equipment, and facilities that are at the waterfront area and on the lake. Must be at least 21 years old.
Laundry/Cleaning Staff will oversee all aspects of the camp's laundry and assist with keeping camp clean. Must be at least 16 years old.
Secretary will manage the camp office, including handling phones calls, camper paperwork and visitors. Must be at least 18 years old.
***The above positions are seasonal positions for the 2008 summer. The approximate dates of employment are June 21st - August 24th. Room and board is provided. ***
The maintenance assistants are responsible for maintenance, grounds and housekeeping of the camp property, under the supervision of the maintenance director. Prior experience in landscaping, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and/or vehicle maintenance is necessary. Applicant must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. The maintenance assistant positions are seasonal positions working 30 hours/week from May 5 - September 19. For the right candidates, we can be flexible about the dates. The pay is $8-10/hour.
