How Many Calories Do You Burn?
What is a MET?
Anyone who has used a piece of cardio equipment has seen the MET button on the control panel and most of us wonder what it means. A MET is the Metabolic Equivalent Unit which expresses oxygen uptake/caloric expenditure relative to resting values. 1 MET's is equal to to 1 calorie burned per Kg of body weight per hour (1 MET= 1cal X Kg bodyweight).
