Swim Meet Results

In our first meet of the season, 10 Blue Waves team records were shattered, and we have our largest group -- not only for this time of year, but ever -- of Districts and New England's qualifiers! 41 swimmers qualified for districts and 9 swimmers qualified for New Englands. Our swimmers did an amazing job in the pool with many personal best times achieved as well.

Great job to our swimmers and parents, as well as our great coaching staff: Eileen, Helen, Karen, Matt & Nicole.

Here is a quick recap of our season:

  • This was our first season in Division II after being moved up from Division IV.
  • Of the 110 swimmers on the Blue Waves Competitive Swim Team, 76 qualified for Districts and 20 qualified for New Englands.
  • The 2010 team record was 2 losses and 3 wins. We had the second best record in Division II overall.
    vs. West Roxbury: 462 to 94 (W)
    vs. Metro West: 237 to 451 (L)
    vs. Montachusett: 414 to 241 (W)
    vs. Lowell: 415 to 229 (W)
    vs. North Suburban: 354 to 358 (L)
  • A close win (by only 33points) at the Snowbowl Championship vs. Waltham and Charles River.
  • We had the largest group of qualifiers for both Districts and New Englands in the history of Blue Waves swimming.
  • 45 Team records were broken this year.
  • We had four USA Age Group Championship qualifiers: E. Duserick, A. Miquel, K. Miquen and O.Sloane.
  • We scored more points than we ever have including a first place finish in at least one event and several top 5 finishers: Aviva Munoz, John McEachern (1st 25 fly), Alan Shea (2nd 100 free), Kristin Miquel, & Elizabeth Duserick.
