Soup's on at the West Suburban YMCA's 2nd Annual Soup, Chili & Chowder Cook-Off
Newton, MA-The West Suburban YMCA will host its 2nd Annual Soup, Chili, & Chowder Cook-Off on Sunday, October 5 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The public is invited to taste test and judge the best soups, chilies, and chowders in town.
Held at the Hibernian Hall on the Watertown and Newton line, the cook-off will feature the best restaurants in town including Blue Ribbon Bar-B-Q, Cabot's Ice Cream and Restaurant, Deluxe Town Diner, Paddy's Pub, Uno Chicago Grill, West Street Tavern and Restaurant, Whole Foods Market, and much more. In addition to savory creations, participants can enjoy a raffle and fun activities for kids.
All proceeds of the cook-off will benefit the West Suburban YMCA's Partners with Youth campaign which provides the financial resources needed for the YMCA to respond to the growing needs of local communities. Equally important, this campaign offers financial assistance for families, children, and seniors who would otherwise be unable to participate in the YMCA's programs and services.
