Tiny Track Stars & Jump For Joy
The West Suburban YMCA is offering Tiny Track Stars and Jump for Joy this spring, for kids ages 3 to 9 years old. All classes are held at the Y’s facilities, at 276 Church Street, Newton Corner.
Tiny Track Stars is a 45-minute program designed for 3 to 5 year olds. These tiny track stars will learn the basic skills associated with running track such as baton passing and broad jumping. Fun obstacle course will emphasize agility, balance and coordination. The last ten minutes of each class will end with stretching and a story.
The Jump for Joy program puts a spin on health and fitness in this unique and fun jump roping class. With a focus on individual and group jumping, children ages 5 to 9 will learn Double Dutch, Chinese Jump rope and different rhyme games that can be incorporated into play.
Tiny Track Stars and Jump for Joy are both seven week long programs.
Tiny Track Stars runs on Thursdays from 9:15 am to 10 am and will begin April 27. Cost for YMCA members is $88 and $132 for non-members.
Jump for Joy runs on Fridays from 4 pm to 4:30 pm and will begin April 28. Cost for YMCA members is $45 and non-members is $68.
