Summer Specialty Clinics and Camps
As part of its summer programming, the West Suburban YMCA will be providing week long Summer Specialty Clinics to boys and girls ages 6 to 15. Choose from over 30 clinics including Playball, Baseball, Krafty Kids, All Sports and Playground Games. All clinics will take place at the Y’s facilities, 276 Church Street, Newton Corner.
The YMCA Playball Clinic is for kids ages 4 to 9 years old. Playball introduces children to fun aspects of different sports including: swimming, tennis, hockey, soccer, basketball and arts and crafts. Three sessions will be held: July 10-14; July 17-21 and July 24-28. Playball runs from 9am to 1pm and is $150 for members and $200 for non-members.
The YMCA Baseball Clinic will run July 10-14 from 9am to 4pm. Designed for kids ages 8 to 12 years old, this clinic will teach players the fundamentals of baseball including hitting, catching, throwing and good sportsmanship. Cost for members is $275 and $330 for non-members.
Krafty Kids is a fun, new arts and crafts program for kids ages 6-12 years old and will run from 9am to 4pm. Four sessions will be held throughout the summer including; July 10-14, July 17-21, July 24-28 and July 31 through August 4. Projects may include birdhouses, beaded necklaces, rain sticks, papier-mâché and more. Swimming is included! Cost for members is $275 and $330 for non-members.
The YMCA All Sports Clinic provides kids the opportunity to play Wiffleball, Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball and Floor Hockey all in one camp! Two sessions will be offered for kids ages 10 to 12 years old on July10-14 and August 28-September 1. One session for kids ages 6 to 9 years old will be offered August 28-September 1. All three sessions will run from 9am to 4pm. Cost for members is $275 and $330 for non-members.
The YMCA Playground Games Clinic is for kids ages 6 to 9 years old and will run from 1pm to 4pm. Children will participate in classic playground games such as Four-Square, Jump Rope, Mother May I, Tag and Capture the Flag. This clinic is a non-competitive environment and will run July 10-14, July 24-28, July 31-August 4 and August 7-11. Cost for members is $100 and $130 for non-members.
