NEWTON, MA - In conjunction with the Elks, the West Suburban YMCA is hosting a Free Throw "Hoop Shoot" contest on Saturday, November 4, from 10am-1pm at the Y's facilities at 276 Church Street, Newton Corner.

This annual "Hoop Shoot" contest is a free family event open to boys and girls ages 8 thru 13 and will be held in the Y's 10,000 square foot gymnasium. Participants are invited to stop in at any time between 10am and 1pm and will be divided into three age groups. The top boy and top girl in each age group will advance to District, State, Regional and National competition. The National winners are enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.
