Lifeguard Training Course
The West Suburban YMCA is offering a four-day Red Cross Lifeguard Training course beginning December 26. All classes are to be held at the Y's facilities, located at 276 Church Street, Newton Corner.
The Lifeguard Training course will teach all necessary classes, including First Aid, CPR for the professional rescuer, AED and lifeguard training. Participants must be at least 15 years old, pass a pre-course swim of 500 yards and retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a nine foot pool.
This four day certification program begins on Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29 and runs from 3pm to 9pm each day. Cost for YMCA members is $225 and $300 for non-members.
