Corporate Membership FAQs

My company already has a corporate membership. How do I join the YMCA?

Contact Brennan Molina at (617) 244-6050 x3067 or brennanm@westsuburbanymca.org to find out how much of discount your company receives and to set up your membership. Many of our corporate memberships are handled through the company's human resources department, so your HR department may have more information as well.

What are your monthly corporate membership rates?

Rates depend on the number of employees at your company. The more employees enrolled; the greater the discount.

What is a corporate membership?

It is a partnership between the YMCA and local businesses. We offer a discounted membership rate to local businesses that wish to improve employee morale, retention, productivity and the physical and mental well being of all their employees. And, we are able to serve a greater number of individuals and families in our community.

Who is eligible for corporate membership?

Employees of small local businesses, large corporations, health-care facilities, school districts and many other organizations are eligible.  In addition, members of clubs, neighborhood associations or parishes may be eligible also. Contact Brennan Molina at (617) 244-6050 x3067 or brennanm@westsuburbanymca.org to find out if your company qualifies.

What are the benefits of corporate membership?

A corporate membership will help you develop a program of wellness activities to fit your employees' needs. These include on-site fitness classes or demos, health screenings, health & nutrition seminars as well as activities at the YMCA such as employee family fun nights, golf clinics, adult sports leagues, meeting rooms, team building programs, sports events and corporate retreats on our off-site camping grounds.

How do we get started?

Your organization must first designate a representative, usually someone in the benefits/H.R. department. This person gathers employee interest and sets up the initial sign-up at your site.

This person would be the primary liaison between the YMCA and the employees of their organization. They would promote the YMCA corporate membership program, other YMCA programs and volunteer opportunities on an ongoing basis.

How many employees are needed to initiate the membership?

Five. Current YMCA members count toward this minimum. Small businesses with less than 10 employees need only three. The first 5/3 people must sign up at your site at one time or have enough existing current members at the time of initiation.

Are employee's family members eligible for this benefit?

Yes, as long as the employee is the primary name on the membership.
