Advance the Legacy Campaign

We have entered our 12-month, $1.3 million capital campaign, Advance the Legacy, to expand and upgrade our family-focused facilities. The focus of the campaign is to raise the funds needed to establish a new, multi-focus Youth Community Center at the YMCA's 276 Church Street facility that will double the number of children we serve through the Center.

The proposed improvements include:

A new, multi-focus Youth Community Center with music clubhouse, computer/technology & homework room and recreational center
New men's locker room with whirlpool, sauna and steam room
New boy's locker room
Expanded family changing rooms
Additional multipurpose program space

The West Suburban YMCA, located in Newton, Massachusetts, is a nonprofit community service organization made possible because of charitable donations, member support, and dedicated volunteers and staff. The YMCA is devoted to the education, physical health, mental well-being and moral development of children, families, and communities and is committed to this simple policy: Nobody will be turned away from our programs and facilities due to an inability to pay.
