CAMP FRANK A. DAY-2008 Residential Camp Employment Opportunities
Are you looking for a job that would be so much fun that you would not even want to call it work? Join the staff of the West Suburban YMCA at Camp Frank A. Day—a co-ed overnight camp in East Brookfield, Mass that offers the perfect mix of land and water activities.
Currently, we are looking for caring, honest, respectful and responsible applicants for the following positions:
Junior Counselors will aid in supervising and effectively leading a group of campers in daily camp activities. Must be at least 17 years old.
Counselors will supervise and effectively lead a group of campers in daily camp activities. Must be at least 18 years old.
Unit Directors/Asst. Unit Directors will directly supervise and effectively lead an assigned age group of campers and the staff assigned to that unit. Must be at least 19 years old.
Waterfront Director/Waterfront Assistants will oversee all staff, campers, activities, equipment, and facilities that are at the waterfront area and on the lake. Must be at least 21 years old.
Kitchen Assistants will participate in daily camp kitchen activities, including food preparation, cleaning and receiving deliveries. Must be at least 18 years old.
Laundry/Cleaning Staff will oversee all aspects of the camp’s laundry and assist with keeping camp clean. Must be at least 16 years old.
Maintenance Workers will assist with maintenance, grounds and housekeeping of camp. Must be at least 21 years old.
Secretary will manage the camp office, including handling phones calls, camper paperwork and visitors. Must be at least 18 years old.
Nurses will help tend to the health care needs of all campers and staff; must be licensed as a RN, LPN, PA, Paramedic, or EMT in MA and be at least 21 years old.

Swim Instructors
The West Suburban YMCA is looking for part-time swim instructors. Weekday morning, afternoon and evening shifts available as well as weekend shift. Must be CPR certified and 16+ years. Water Aerobics Instructors

CHILD CARE
Live Y'ers Program Staff
The Child Care department is searching for qualified staff to work in the very successful after school program. Program participants are elementary school students in grades 1-5 and attend the program Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and other weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6p.m.
Staff responsibilities include supervision, activity planning and implementation, participation in active and creative games and projects, and attendance at weekly staff meetings. Ideal applicants will have experience working with children and a passion for having fun! Applicants must be available 3-5 afternoons per week with preference given to those available every weekday afternoon.

ENRICHMENT & HUMANITIES
Knitting Instructor
We are currently searching for a knitting instructor to teach introductory knitting classes and an open knitting group. Knitting students encompass varying levels of proficiency and instructor should have commanding knowledge of knitting methods and terminology.
Ideal applicants will also have experience teaching others and availability Tuesday mornings as well as one afternoon and one evening per week. Excellent hourly rate as well as child care benefits.
